Genita Hunter has spent most of her life in Rockford. In 2018, she decided to return to school and earn her Master’s degree in clinical psychology. She also holds a Master’s degree in organizational leadership, as well as two Bachelor’s degrees—one in Human Services and the other in Criminal Justice Management.
Each of Ms. Hunter’s four degrees plays a crucial role in her ability to provide compassionate and understanding therapy to those who seek her help. She is passionate about enhancing self-worth and exploring self-care strategies. Genita assists individuals in uncovering and understanding trauma that may have occurred at any stage of life. Utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, she helps others learn how to address their emotions, cope with triggers stemming from traumatic events, and develop effective methods to manage daily challenges.
