Tiffany Williams-Velte is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that has earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Women’s Studies from Bradley University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a concentration in Mental Health. She maintains active licensure to serve populations in both the state of Illinois and state of Texas virtually and in person. She has ten years of experience post-graduate working within multidisciplinary mental health agencies and private practice settings.
Thus far, she has developed clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in both individual and group capacities. She encompasses the ability to provide treatment surrounding attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety disorder, body image issues, depression, substance abuse, mood disorders, bereavement, crisis/ trauma, domestic violence, occupational stress, racial/cultural stress, and family/child behavioral related issues.
She has acquired both CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) and TCI (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention) state certifications as of 2015 via Cunningham Children’s Home and The Prairie Center organizations in Urbana-Champaign, IL. She has presented clinical research on topics such as gender stereotypes and the effects of substance abuse on family systems in the Midwestern region within the past 10 years. She is a proud member of the NASW (National Association of Social Workers) which is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world. She possesses the ability to provide support and psycho education to diverse populations via comprehensive assessment and therapeutic intervention techniques.
