Kayla Baca is a Registered Nurse whom has obtained an Associate Degree in Nursing from Tarrant County College in Fort Worth,
Texas; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Western Governors University in Utah, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, and currently working towards completing a master’s degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Western Governors University. Mrs. Baca served as an elementary school teacher for 7 years and a preschool teacher for 2 years. She is completing her internship with Perryville Counseling Group.
Kayla has been a licensed mental health nurse in the state of Texas since 2019, utilizing skills and knowledge in therapeutic conversations related to behavioral healthcare; crisis intervention and management; family relations; comprehensive intake nursing assessment; and patient redirection, de-escalation, and safety planning, and also conducted coping skills groups for preteens. Mrs. Baca also has extensive knowledge and supportive abilities related to therapeutic concepts such as depression, anxiety, stress, challenging behaviors, various forms of psychosis, monitoring the side effects and biophysical reactions to medications, and genetic testing regarding effective and appropriate person-centered medication management.
