My name is Shiana Robertson, and I am a dedicated counselor passionate about supporting individuals in maximizing their overall well-being. I have lived in Rockford my entire life and am deeply committed to serving my community. After spending 11+ years as an educator, I witnessed firsthand the importance of mental health in a person’s ability to thrive, which inspired me to pursue a career in counseling. I earned my Master’s degree in School Counseling and Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and am committed to helping children, adolescents, and individuals navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.
I believe that mental health is just as vital as physical health, and I strive to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. Providing honesty is at the core of my counseling approach, as I believe that open and genuine conversations are essential for growth and healing. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused techniques, and an emphasis on self-discovery and personal empowerment. I believe in seeing the humanity in all individuals and meeting each person where they are in their journey.Outside of counseling, I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, visiting amusement parks, spending time outdoors during the warmer months, and cherishing quality time with my family.Whether working with children, adolescents, or individuals seeking guidance, my goal is to provide the support and tools needed to foster growth, healing, and well-being. If you’re looking for a counselor who will walk alongside you with honesty, compassion, and encouragement, I would love to connect with you.
