Tiffiany King is a Rockford native, that has been working in Human Services for the last 25 years. She is a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Rockford, IL, becoming the first in her family to graduate and attend college. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Northern Illinois University in 2014 and a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley Universsity in 2022. She has passed the National Counseling Exam in October 2022 and will become a Licensed Professional Counselor in January 2023.
She began her internship at Perryville Counseling Group in November of 2021 and has chosen to stay on as a therapist here. Her focus is women’s issues, adolescent and teen trauma, anxiety, ADHD, Behavioral challenges, Adjustment disorders, domestic violence, and sexual assault. She has a wealth of knowledge pertaining to developmental and intellectual disabilities as she has worked in that field for the last 8+ years. Tiffiany has an ability to connect to the client and meet them where they are currently. She possesses a great deal of empathy and finds a way to connect to a client organically. Tiffiany has the ability to help parents navigate educational issues like IEP and behavioral plans. She can provide you with mental health assessment and DSM diagnosis. In addition to techniques and interventions to help with the reduction of mental health symptoms and behavioral challenges.
Tiffiany is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and Chi Sigma Iota Honors Society for Counselors. Her passion is to help young people in need and teach them skills that will help them become the version of their best self.
