Chianta Jefferson’s journey into the field of mental and behavioral health began over 20+ years ago with a deep desire to serve, support, and empower others. A proud Rockford native with strong southern roots, she carries the warmth, resilience, and sense of community instilled in her upbringing into every aspect of her work.
Her academic path has been a reflection of her lifelong commitment to helping others grow, heal, and thrive. Chianta earned her Bachelor of Arts in Human Services in 2018, followed by a Master of Arts in Human Services Administration in 2023, and later completed her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2025—all from Judson University. These educational experiences deepened her understanding of human behavior, leadership, and therapeutic practice, further shaping her compassionate and holistic approach to care.
Throughout her career, Chianta has had the privilege of walking alongside individuals and families as they navigate life’s challenges—from healing past trauma to rebuilding confidence and hope. Her work has spanned many areas of the mental and behavioral health field, including trauma-informed care, supporting adults and adolescents impacted by abuse and neglect, substance use recovery, domestic violence advocacy, and crisis intervention.
